Artist Annie Helmericks-Louder writes to us about her experience in exploring the use of oil papers for her oil paintings. We highlighted Helmericks-Louder on The Artist’s Road in 2010, featuring some of her pastel, watercolor and quilted textile artwork. Visit Profile: Annie Helmericks-Louder. While still working in multiple mediums, she is currently also concentrating on new large-scale oil paintings on oil paper. We asked her to tell us why she has chosen to work on paper and about the ins and outs of working with oil papers.
