Our paintings are journeys, visual diaries of both outward travels and inward explorations. There can be great benefit to looking through our work chronologically to revisit those explorations and to see the unfolding and progression of our lives and work.
Artist William Marvin wrote to us to share his painting travels which he has documented in a book titled Grace Notes - Reflections on Everyday Wonders. He writes, “Grace Notes is a collection of paintings and personal stories about the enormous beauty revealed to me while traveling the back roads of this great country . . . A sense of freedom comes to me whenever I load my camping and painting gear into the van. My tireless companion is Rocky, an English Black Lab, a wonderful dog always ready for a hike into the unknown.”
