Plein Air Oil Painting in the Boston Public Garden
We had an unexpected opportunity to travel to Boston to do some plein air painting in June, 2013. The occasion was a painting commission from a collector of John’s work who had attended Harvard many years ago. She loves the city and has fond memories of long walks in the Boston Public Garden. Those visions have remained with her through the years, and she decided that she wanted a large oil of the Garden for her home in California. Painting in gardens has always been a special interest for both of us and we were excited for this chance to revisit and paint in the first public botanical garden in America.
