For the last ten years or so, we have been watching the rise of interest in creativity and in creative people by the corporate world. Apparently, some American business models have evolved such rigid operating structures that creativity got squeezed out of the thinking somewhere along the line, and this allowed opportunities for new companies with innovative ideas to thrive.
Creative motivational speakers are one of the avenues used by industries to help spark creativity in the workplace. Unfortunately this can be based on the idea that creative thinking is something that can be rapidly acquired through familiar channels, preferably in a book, podcast, video or live seminar with no need to change the corporate culture or do the hard, time consuming work actually required to get there.
