Many of the artists we know are reeling after the momentous events of November fifth. How do we stay inspired and energized when the world around us is changing so dramatically? Does making Art even matter in times like this? It may not be easy to find the good or the beautiful when we get distracted by big events over which we have no control, but we must. Art is Light, and as artists, we have an obligation to hold our torches high and keep them burning, no matter what. If we don’t, there may be only darkness. It can be helpful, if not absolutely essential, to tap into the thoughts of others for the support and encouragement we need to gain perspective and fuel the flames of creativity.
