The Road Taken - A Trip to the Texas Hill Country
Fredericksburg, Texas, is a thriving art center not far from Austin, and was the host in 2013 to the Oil Painters of America National Exhibition held at the InSight Gallery. John was honored to be among those artists selected to exhibit in this show of world-class talent, so we did not hesitate to take the opportunity to travel to Fredericksburg to participate. We saw this as a chance to meet and socialize with our fellow artists, some of whom we have featured on The Artist’s Road but never met in person, see old friends and get to know the galleries in the area. If there was time, we also intended to scout the famously scenic Texas Hill Country surrounding Fredericksburg, which at that magic moment was covered in wildflowers.
