Into the Mystic 1.5 x 2.2 m (59 x 86”) Warwick Fuller
It isn’t often that one finds the phrase “official artist for the Royal Tours” in an artist’s resume. This month we interviewed Australian artist Warwick Fuller and found those words describing Fuller’s 2012 and 2015 duties as the artist chosen to accompany the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall on their Australian tours.
Fuller’s function was to travel with the royal couple, capturing scenes from the visit. There were no restrictions put upon his choice of subject or style. Following the tour, the paintings were exhibited at a non-commercial exhibition. The Prince was given first option to the paintings which will become a part of the Royal Collection when Prince Charles ascends the throne.
