Jim McVicker has won a multitude of prestigious awards including the Plein Air Magazine Salon Competition $15,000 award, the Gold Medal For Best Painting in the 104th Gold Medal Exhibition, of the California Art Club, the Southwest Art Award of Excellence AND The Franz Bischoff Award for Best Still Life at the California Art Club 103rd Gold Medal Juried Exhibition, among others. We asked him to tell us a little bit about the evolution of his work, the benefit of his friendships with other artists and his processes.
