Rob Evans lives and paints near Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. Although his extensive body of work includes a diverse range of subjects, we have chosen to highlight his paintings inspired by the Susquehanna River. In addition to painting the river himself in all weather and light conditions, Rob organized and curated a traveling exhibition titled Visions of the Susquehanna. It featured paintings from over two centuries by many prominent American artists, both historical and contemporary. Evans’s paintings have been included in major solo and curated group exhibitions including the Tretyakov Museum in Moscow, the Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington, D.C. and the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio.
