More Artists in the World is a Good Thing - Perspectives No. 53More Artists in the World
is a Good Thing Perspectives No. 53 A year ago, when we wrote our first Perspectives from the Artist’s Road, we said, “We believe that creativity is at the heart of every human being whether or not one defines oneself as creative. Everybody just is, in one way or another, and given the opportunity, it will blossom forth.” Once again we saw bountiful evidence of this fact as we enjoyed the annual Halloween door-to-door candy giveaway sponsored by the downtown businesses of our community. This event is attended by many hundreds of people dressed up in every imaginable costume, in a parade of creativity and personal expression. Costumes run the gamut from movie creatures, cartoon and political characters to more conceptual literary and visual puns. This year we noticed some especially fun art-specific costumes. Here are a few of our favorites from that category: Frida and Diego Marilyn, Little Andy Warhol and Art The Perennially Needy As we begin our second year, we would like to say again that we are very pleased to have you joining us as we travel together down the Artist’s Road. There are now more than 150 informative articles to explore and more are added each and every month. We look forward to sharing more of our art and travel adventures with you in the coming year and encourage you to share your stories with us as well. After all, “More artists in the world is a good thing.” Tweet blog comments powered by Disqus |
